How Reading Can Change Lives

Reading is an activity that enriches our lives. As well as providing access to huge amounts of information, knowledge, and entertainment.

When we read, not only are we improving our working memory, but research has shown that it makes us feel better and more positive too. Reading has some amazing health benefits, including helping with depression, cutting stress, and reducing the chances of developing Alzheimer’s later in life.

In addition, people start reading more books over the years. The average number of books each person read over a year was 12…but that number is enhanced by the most avid readers. Asia and North America are the leaders when it comes to publishing, with both holding a 34% share of the industry. The most frequently reported number was 4 books per year.
