Mithila working with underprivileged children

Rafiath Rashid Mithila is not only an actress, model, song-writer, singer; she is a development activist as well.

Recently, Mithila took some time out amidst her busy schedule for a tête-à-tête with the Daily Ittefaq.

The actress was asked if she discerns her position and presence in the show business only as a hobby. Mithila replied in affirmative adding that it surprises her that everybody thinks she stays busy with acting, modeling or music.

“That is not the case to be frank. I only work in the media when the schedules match with my corporate life, for my own amusement.”

Mithila also discussed her professional life.

“I’m working for Brac International since 2008. I started as a researcher and then was promoted as a program manager (education) back in 2011. I’m working with and for unprivileged kids now. I feel the most comfortable to consider myself as a development worker.

The pretty actress explained acting schedules as well.

“I acted in about a total of 8-10 dramas and telefilms during the festive occasion of Eid this year. I received excellent feedbacks and responses from the audience.”

Mithila informed that she will soon start filming drama ‘Bhalobashar Kahini’, directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan. Here she is going to feature opposite Apurbo.

When asked why she never launched a solo album despite her mastery over music, Mithila replied that the lack of free time does not let her to.

“Well, I had plans for a solo album in past. Tahsin used to be very busy and then eventually I also got occupied with my workload. Life got so hectic after having the baby that I could not even think about releasing an album even once.

Mithila further informed that if she gets approached for a film that has a decent and meaningful story, she will think about debuting on the silver screen.
