The Education Ministry will hold this year’s JSC and JDC exams after Primary and Mass Education Ministry declined the request to hold the exams.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said that there is no uncertainity regarding the exams.
“There will be no uncertainties over holding the JSC and JDC exams. The tests will be held on schedule and the results will be published within 30 days,” the minister said.
The minister made the announcement at a press breifing on Sunday at the Secretariat.
The ministry finalized the decision after receiving a letter sent by primary and mass education ministry on Thursday requesting it to hold the examinations, he said.
The minister also said, “We hope to hold the examinations on time.”
Around 25 lakh students will participate in the JSC and JDC examinations beginning on November 1 across the country.
Earlier in July, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman said the Primary School Certificate (PSC) and JSC, JDC examinations would be held under his ministry from this year.
