Bangladesh falls behind in corruption: TIB

Bangladesh has ranked 15th in the world graft perception index, Transparency International revealed in a report.

Compared to its rank of 13th last year, Bangladesh ranked as 15th most corrupt country in the world this year.

The announcement was made at Transparency International’s local branch during a press conference organised at its Dhanmondi office in Dhaka on Wednesday morning.

Among the eight South Asian countries Bangladesh’s position remains second lowest both in score and rank, better than only Afghanistan.

Bhutan is on top in South Asia Score 65, ranking 27 from top.

The world’s most corruption free country is Denmark while New Zealand is in second position with the same score. Somalia has been ranked the most corrupt country this year.
